The Parrillo Training Program is based on Three Principles:
- Proper Nutrition
The Parrillo Training Manual covers the importance of proper nutrition and how it directly relates to your muscle training workouts. It offers tips for improving your eating habits and increasing the necessary nutrients for building muscle and endurance. It also explains the importance of supplements in your diet and how they can help improve performance.
- Fascial Stretching
This specialized method of stretching, developed by John Parrillo, has remarkable benefits when integrated into a weight training program. These unique stretching exercises are designed to stretch the protective sheath of connective tissue which surrounds the muscle, expanding the fascia, enabling the muscles to grow. Fascial stretching can actually help increase strength by as much as 20 percent when done correctly. The Training Program explains when the best time is to stretch and the proper way to perform the exercises, along with illustrations of the movements.
- The Right Combination Of Weight And Aerobic Training
The Training Program is designed to help you increase your mental acuity, perfect your form and intensify your workouts. You will learn specific exercises that have proven effective for some of the nation's top competitive athletes. It will also help you determine the optimum rep/set scheme you need to maximize muscular density, cardiovascular density and muscular endurance. The manual also contains individual chapters for each muscle group, featuring sample workouts used by John Parrillo with some of the top professional and amateur bodybuilders in the world. Each chapter has illustrated movements to show you the proper form for that particular exercise. The Training Program also gives you information on the importance of aerobic training and how it can help improve your physique.
